‘An absolutely hilarious, sad, relatable and raw read for any woman has been in or is still in the dating game. I laughed, I cried, I cringed and a few paragraphs made me almost spit my orange juice out. There’s still hope out there for us single ladies!’ - Katrina

Everyone has a bad date story or two but very few could fill a whole bloody book with them.

But dating warrior Megan Whitehouse has done just that.
She’s not famous, she’s no celebrity, she’s just an average Aussie gal who’s scraped together her dating disasters and piled them into a heartbreaking yet heart-warming book.

Pucker Up! is the tale of love and heartbreak, sprinkled with cringeworthy teenage tales, self-esteem struggles and 90s nostalgia. Oh, and lashings of delicious sarcasm.

The perfect light-hearted read for anyone who is dating, has dated or wishes they dated more!

I could not put this book down and was so, so happy for Meg at the end, as I felt like I really got to know her due to the raw and honest writing. I felt like I was right there with Meg throughout her journey of ‘kissing and telling’. Her ability to recall life as it was in the 80s/90s was remarkable. I could so relate to this book and enjoyed reflecting on my own love stories alongside of Megs! Just awesome - 5 stars!

I was going to save Pucker Up! as a Christmas Holiday read, but.... I just couldn't wait that long. I literally felt like Megan's bestie, living through the ups and downs in real time! I loved its pace, relatability, humour and reflection. A seriously wonderful read.

Hi, I'm Megan ...

But you can call me Meg. Nice to meet you. Many moons ago, I was working as a journalist, chasing bush fires, covering car accidents and putting the hard word on politicians. But I couldn’t hack the pace and packed up my skills to move into the dazzling world of public relations, marketing and communications.

Writing for a wage is fun, but in 2016 I switched lanes and moved to the country to run businesses in the health and fitness industry. Plot twist, right?  But the urge to write was still burning and it was here where I used all my brain power to punch out a paperback.

After the birth of my first book in 2018, followed shortly by the slightly more painful birth of my son, I decided to focus on freelance copywriting, while contending with nappies, noise and naptimes.

Lured by the big city lights and the desire to return to my homegirl Queensland, I am now based in Brisbane and find myself navigating blended family life with my extraordinarily tall partner, our two rambunctious, matchbox-car-loving boys and two slightly pissed off cats.

Finally, blue cheese is life, 90s R&B is worthy of worship and puns make the world go around.
